The Metropolitan Filipino Ministry (MFM) is a Eucharistic Filipino Ministry without walls. It was started in 1983 with the primary goal of providing a venue for members to gather for worship and fellowship with families, and friends. It also provides an occasion to invite those who are new in the area to come “share and break bread together”. Another goal is to assist interested or unaffiliated persons, especially Filipinos, find a “home church”.
The MFM, also referred to as “The fellowship” serves a multistate including Connecticut, New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Maryland, and Washington D.C. It also serves as a venue to meet visitors and guest from out of the area and overseas. Over the years, visitors have come from the Philippines, Australia, Canada, England, and other states - California, Michigan, Ohio, Texas, Hawaii, Florida and Washington.
The MFM welcomes everybody regardless of faith and/or religious or church affiliation and has an open membership.
The MFM meets once a month. Activities start with the celebration of the Eucharist followed by fellowship and an eclectic and sumptuous potluck. Occasionally, special programs accent the evening festivities. We meet at:
